On April 16th, with the theme of “Create a Better Life”, the 18th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition was grandly opened. This year's Shanghai Auto Show industry has gathered a large number of new cars, which are not only focused on demonstrating the innovation and development achievements of the world's auto industry, but also actively embracing the future of the industry and boosting the confidence of the global auto market. At the press conference, JAC Volkswagen style, long endurance pure electric SUV - iEVS4 was officially launched, setting a new value benchmark for the pure electric SUV market. In terms of endurance, iEVS4 is the first in China to break through the comprehensive operating conditions of pure electric vehicles with a driving range of 470km and a maximum cruising range of up to 600km, equivalent to the distance of 14 marathons.
In terms of battery life, the maximum mileage of 1 million kilometers can be achieved, which is equivalent to 2.8 times the distance from the Earth to the Moon, completely covering the life cycle of the vehicle. In terms of safety performance, after 3 years of 1700 simulations of thermal runaway test development, JAC has become the first in the country to make the breakthrough in realizing no explosion and no ignition of the battery pack by compulsorily triggering monomer thermal run away from the battery core, simple module, multi-string module, battery pack to complete vehicles. JAC has combined the world's leading new generation of liquid-cooled thermostat technology to eliminate battery risks.
In terms of quality improvement, iEVS4 provides users with a more comfortable travel solution through the high-quality co-line production with the JAC Volkswagen, the adjustment by Volkswagen experts, and the quality by benchmarking the standards of the German Volkswagen VDA. In terms of intelligent configuration, iEVS4 is equipped with a new generation of 3.0 networking system, which truly realizes the deep dialogue between people and vehicles. In addition to the traditional functions of voice control navigation, air conditioning, music, search, emergency rescue, etc., it also has booking trip screening functions to make your travel life more exciting.
This year's Shanghai Auto Show, JAC again demonstrated the eighth generation technology and the third generation series of new energy products, fully demonstrating its fruitful results of iterative research and development, open cooperation and accelerated industrial operation.
Science and technology lead the progress, innovation drives the development, and only by insisting on technological innovation can we raise the quality and performance of our products to a higher level. As early as 2007, JAC started the industrialization research and development of new energy vehicles. In 2010, it started the domestic industrialization of pure electric vehicles and became the first new energy automobile enterprise of batch demonstration operation. In the field of new energy, JAC has mastered the key technologies of battery assembly, motor and electronic control of electric vehicles and energy recovery, drive and brake coupling, especially made great breakthrough in battery thermal management system technology.
Facing the future, JAC will accurately grasp the trend of integration of electrification, intelligence, networking and sharing, and launch a new generation of modular platform developed independently. With electricity before oil, oil and electricity sharing, JAC can cover SUV, sedan, MPV covering A0 class to B class with a variety of powers such as pure electric, fuel car and hybrid. At the same time, relying on the new generation of A00 pure electric mini-vehicle platform, JAC has simultaneously developed the sedans and SUV. From 2019 to 2021, JAC will launch five new energy products, including iEVA60, iEVA432, iEVS4, X811 and the new A00, as well as four new annual models, which will bring the enjoyable green life to consumers all around the world.
JAC has always adhered to market-oriented operations, and till now JAC new energy passenger vehicles have accounted for 85% of the total sales in the private sector. In 2018, sales of JAC pure electric passenger vehicles reached 63,671 units, up 125.28% year-on-year. Up to now, the total demonstration of JAC New Energy has exceeded 130,000, and the accumulated mileage has exceeded 2.2 billion kilometers.
On April 16th, 2019, at the press conference of JAC Shanghai Auto Show, the second season of 10,000 Kilometers Test was started. Through different regions, weathers and long-distance driving, the performance of JAC new energy vehicles was fully tested. Consumers will feel the superior product strength of JAC New Energy at a zero distance.
Facing the future, based on the “Long-term Development Plan for the Automotive Industry” and the medium and long-term rigid requirements for energy conservation and emission reduction, JAC actively seizes the opportunity to vigorously develop new energy vehicles and clearly proposes that new energy vehicles are the company's strategic core business, and plans to make the sales volume of JAC's new energy vehicles account for 20% of the total sales volume by 2020. By 2025, the sales volume of JAC's new energy vehicles accounted for more than 30% of the total sales volume.
